PGL have announced that they will hold an Oceania qualifier for the PGL KeSPA Regional Minor Championship Asia. The news comes following the community backlash after it was revealed that the teams located in the Oceania region would have to compete in the qualifiers that would be played in the Asian servers, which meant that these teams would have to play with inferior pings. PGL adressed the problem by creating a new qualifier that is exclusive to the Oceanian teams. The new qualifier will take place from April 19-21 and the winning team will acquire a slot to the Asia Minor.
It was disclosed that the teams that registered to the Asia qualifier will be moved to the new one. PGL KeSPA Regional Minor Championship Asia will have to have an updated slot distribution with this new qualifier coming into light and PGL is expected to unveil it tomorrow. SoStronk will be hosting the Oceania qualifiers and the tournament will be open up to 64 teams. The single elimination best-of-one format will be in effect until the semi-finals and the final which will have a best-of-three format. You and your team can sign up for the event on SoStronk's page. |
